01. Overview / Problem

The Multicultural Team has identified the need to better connect with current and prospective Hispanic customers throughout Publix’s footprint. By building a hub where we can authentically connect with this unique audience, we can reinforce that we have cultural understanding and genuinely care about what’s important to them.

Hispanic Heritage Month, has been identified as the desired go-live campaign for this microsite.

02. Design Process

Our journey kicks off with an in-depth onboarding session and a kickoff call, where we dove deep into Publix’s brand aspirations and vision for the new website design. This was followed by an extensive website audit and competitor research to uncover opportunities for improvement and to craft a unique customer journey that set this microsite apart from the crowd. Building on these insights, I created low-fidelity wireframes and gathered feedback to refine the user experience.

Working closely with the Publix team, we shaped these wireframes into high-fidelity designs, incorporating brand imagery, colors, and custom copy that resonated with the brand identity.

Once the UX and UI designs got the green light, I orchestrated a smooth handoff to the developers. Here, I oversaw the implementation and conducted meticulous quality assurance testing. In my role as the project lead, I ensured that the designs were brought to life with precision, meeting all functional and design requirements.

Improve existing and support new methods of communication with Publix’s Hispanic audience. Provide this audience with a dedicated, culturally relevant content hub.

This new Microsite led to a 50% conversion rate and a 38% increase in total sales.
Along with that, there has been a 52% increase in new customers.
